Before founding Sussman Law, Joe earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2012. He further honed his legal acumen by articling with the in-house legal counsel of a leading municipality in the Greater Toronto Area. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013.

Outside the realm of law, Joe enjoys supporting Toronto's sports teams, exploring the natural beauty of The Kawarthas, and actively participating in community volunteer work.
